  4. Now add the paneer, milkmaid and cook on a low flame for 5 minutes or till it thickens. Stir intermittently.
  5. Once the kheer is thickened, remove from the flame.
  6. Heat ghee in a small pan. Add cashews, raisins, cloves and saute till brown.
  7. Remove and add them to paneer kheer. Then add cardamom powder and mix well.
  8. Pour paneer kheer to an earthen pot and place it in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
  9. Serve chilled.

The paneer kheer is prepared during festivals and is also a part of the Vrat recipes. Paneer kheer - Cheena kheer/ paneer payasam or Paneer kheer is a Bengali delicacy.
