  6. Bake for 1 hour
  7. Add flavouring and food colour to the second mixture. Mix well. Pipe or scoop mixture onto a lined baking tray. And bake for 1 hour
  8. I just pipe the remaining mixture onto a lined baking tray and baked for 1 hour. You can add any flavour you want.

Personally, I like making the Swiss one the best. It is a very stable meringue which means it is harder for it go wrong - always good if you ask me! This Swiss meringue buttercream is made by heating egg whites and sugar in a double boiler.
