The ingredients needed to make Egg Shakshuka:
  1. Make ready 1 Onion large size(finely chopped)
  2. Take 1/2 cup Beans(finely chopped)

  5. Get 1 cup Tomato(finely chopped)
  6. Prepare 3 Green Chilli

  9. Take Handful Coriander leaves
  10. Prepare as needed Cheese Mozzarella (grated)
  11. Prepare to taste Salt
  12. Prepare 1/4 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  13. Get 1/2 tsp Black pepperncorn powder
  14. Make ready 1/4 tsp Mixed herbs
  15. Get 2 tsp Oil (to saute the veggies)

When making shakshuka, the only tricky part is knowing when your eggs are done cooking. The eggs continue to cook from the residual heat, so you don't want to let them cook for too long. Look for whites that are mostly opaque, and yolks that have risen a bit. The eggs should jiggle a bit if you shimmy the pan.

Steps to make Egg Shakshuka:
    1. Take a pan. Add oil. Then add chilli, onion. Saute it. Then add the other veggies and at last add the tomatoes. Create a paste by cooking it in a low flame. Once the tomatoes turns soft. Add salt, red chilli powder and black pepper powder. Mix it well. Then add the grated cheese.
  1. Then break one egg in a bowl. In the veggies mixture make a space for the egg with a spoon and pour the egg on the same space. Likewise pour all the other eggs on the mixture. At this stage cover the lid and cook on a low flame for 5 mins or until the eggs are cooked to your liking. Here i have cooked it little more as my daughter do not love the poached eggs. You can do it as per your choice.
  2. Once done garnish with the spring onion and the coriander leaves. - Serve hot with the bread toast or anything of your choice. You can also add the spices like cumin powder to the veggie mixture.
  3. But i preferred to keep it simple. It is a healthy dish which you can enjoy in your snacks. Here my family enjoyed this as the wholesome breakfast with some fruits and coffee of individual choice. You can experiment this with difference veggies of your choice to make it more healthy and tasty.

Crack an egg into a small bowl, then gently slip the egg into the tomato sauce. If the tomato sauce gets dry, add a few tablespoons of water. The shakshuka concept is very simple.
